Football Recap: Anna Falls Despite Big Games from Ace Traylor and Ziondre Williams

If Anna was feeling good fresh off their 45-14 takedown of Lovejoy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coyotes took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Melissa Cardinals on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.

Anna's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ziondre Williams, who rushed for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Ace Traylor, who rushed for 63 yards and two scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Anna fell to 3-1. As for Melissa, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Anna wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 63-7 win against Independence on the 2nd. As for Melissa, they will be playing at home against Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Leopards' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
