Softball Recap: Northern Takes a Loss

Northern fell victim to St. Mary's Ryken and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 9-0. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Northern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. Mary's Ryken, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Coming up, Northern will take on Broadneck at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.6, the Bruins 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for St. Mary's Ryken, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. John's at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th.
