Basketball Recap: LKY Piles Up the Points Against Brown

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely LKY's strategy against Brown on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the LKY Saints blew the Brown Bears out of the water with a 66-33 final score. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LKY to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayley Mattingly, who posted 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Mattingly is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Simmon, who earned 15 points along with six assists and six steals.

LKY was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for LKY and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Brown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Male the next time they take the court. Brown will head out to face Male at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while LKY will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
