Basketball Recap: Ontario Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Crestview

After losing to Crestview the last time they met, Ontario decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ontario Warriors skirted past the Crestview Cougars 61-59. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Cougars are ranked 228th).

Ontario has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 points across that stretch. As for Crestview, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ontario will host Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestview, they will face off against Bellevue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Crestview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
