Basketball Recap: Honeoye Takes a Loss

Honeoye was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 55-41 bruising from the Lima Christian Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-50 back in January.

Lima Christian found their leader in sophomore Alyssa Marsh, who dropped a double-double with 38 points and 17 boards. Marsh's evening made it 14 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Sophy Britton, who posted eight points.

Honeoye's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lima Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Coming up, Honeoye will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Jacket at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lima Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Rochester Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
