Berks Catholic's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Tulpehocken Trojans by a score of 5-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Jays as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Brinley Harter made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Harter was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrianna Cirulli-Ramirez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That run was her first of the season. Mady Kieffer was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Berks Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Tulpehocken, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.

Berks Catholic and Tulpehocken could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Blue Jays will take on Wilson at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (379 vs. 78). Meanwhile, Tulpehocken (ranked 260th) will meet Schuylkill Valley (ranked 108th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
