Football Game Preview: Hatley Tigers vs. Okolona Chieftains

The Hatley Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Okolona Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hatley will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hatley faced off against West Lowndes on Thursday. The Tigers snuck past the Panthers with a 20-16 victory. Those 20 points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

A big part of Hatley's win came down to the chemistry between Chris Foster and his top target Tikiyu Buckingham. Foster threw for 150 yards and two TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing while Buckingham picked up 130 receiving yards. Those 130 receiving yards gave Buckingham a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Okolona made easy work of Nettleton on Friday and carried off a 27-6 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Chieftains just coasted through the last quarter.

Hatley's record is now 5-0. As for Okolona, their record now sits at 2-3.
