Marquette faced Mehlville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won five matches in a row.

While Marquette won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22.

Alex Danyluck paced Marquette's offense, picking up eight kills. Danyluck really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 14. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Marquette's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-9. As for Mehlville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-12.

Marquette didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Liberty on the 3rd. As for Mehlville, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against O'Fallon on the 3rd.
