Pungo Christian Academy dropped their record down to 12-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They lost 10-3 to the Lawrence Academy Warriors. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Raiders, who until this matchup were averaging 3.72 runs allowed.

Pungo Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Byrd, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Lawrence Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

On Lawrence Academy's side, the team relied heavily on Nike Wiggins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Wiggins has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Simon Lundy, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
