Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Central

It's playoff time, and Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a goal and slipped past the Academy at Palumbo Griffin 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Academy at Palumbo are ranked 185th).

Central's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Academy at Palumbo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Coming up, Central will challenge Northeast at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Academy at Palumbo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
