Owego Free Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Chenango Forks Blue Devils with a sharp 9-1 victory. Considering the River Hawks have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Conlan Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Brace was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Connor Kotski also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Owego Free Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Owego Free Academy pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Chenango Forks, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Owego Free Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
