Baseball Recap: Faith Training Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Faith Training Christian Academy extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 15-0 to Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool. If Faith Training Christian Academy was looking for revenge after losing 13-0 to Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they now have a winning record of 2-1. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21, 2025 (when they won 17-2).

For Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's part, Preston Babineaux looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Babineaux has posted since back in March of 2025.

On the hitting side, Brandon Habetz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Truett Hasha, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, Faith Training Christian Academy will host Mount Olive Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they will face off against Acadiana Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
