It was a good run, but Plainview unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the St. Joseph's - Plaucheville Eagles, falling 17-5. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 15-14 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview will head out to face off against Avoyelles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainview has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, they will square off against Georgetown at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
