Chaska and Orono are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Chaska Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Orono Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chaska's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches.

Last Tuesday, Chaska earned a 71-64 win over Jefferson. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Orono waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trojans 93-64. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season.

Orono's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Chaska, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Chaska came up short against Orono when the teams last played back in January, falling 87-83. Can Chaska avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
