Basketball Recap: Fair Play's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Fair Play hadn't done well against Lakeland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Fair Play Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 win over the Lakeland Vikings. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 32-26 loss the last time these two teams met.

Fair Play's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Lakeland, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fair Play has already played their next contest (against Climax Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lakeland will venture away from home to challenge Appleton City at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
