Football Recap: Rosemont Piles Up the Points Against Burbank + How To Watch

After only 13 points in their last matchup, Rosemont made sure to put some points up on the board against Burbank on Friday. The Wolverines blew past the Titans, posting a 42-6 win.

Rosemont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex 'Pit' Rodriguez out in front who rushed for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave 'Pit' Rodriguez a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Gus Bailey was in the mix too, providing Rosemont with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rosemont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burbank only rushed for 12 rushing yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Rosemont's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: 'Pit' Rodriguez, Chrishone Brown, and Melik Scott, who each picked up one sack apiece. Josiah Taylor was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble, making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Rosemont now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Rosemont will welcome Amador at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wolverines' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Burbank, they will head out on the road to square off against Placer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
