Baseball Recap: Camden Fairview Takes a Loss

Camden Fairview lost against Monticello two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Camden Fairview Cardinals fell just short of the Monticello Billies by a score of 9-8. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Schroeder made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Jack Jeffus was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Camden Fairview's record is now 3-5. As for Monticello, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camden Fairview will square off against Nashville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nashville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something Camden Fairview will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Monticello, they will face off against Hamburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
