Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Marysville Indians. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Pioneer took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 28-26.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Marysville, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pioneer will challenge River City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Pioneer their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Marysville, they will take on Oakmont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
