Recap: North Clay/Clay City vs. Sandoval Blackhawks
North Clay/Clay City had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Sandoval by a score of 59-47 on Thursday. The victory was just what North Clay/Clay City needed coming off of a 81-50 defeat in their prior matchup.
North Clay/Clay City had a senior duo take command as Alexis VanDyke scored 23 points along with five steals and Miah Ballard scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points VanDyke has scored all season. Matia Price was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
North Clay/Clay City's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Sandoval, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-15.
North Clay/Clay City will head out on the road to challenge St. Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Anthony will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Sandoval, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
