Softball Recap: Northeast Bradford Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Northeast Bradford had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Cowanesque Valley Indians on Tuesday as Northeast Bradford made off with a 13-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northeast Bradford got a massive performance out of Orissa Gardner, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Gardner has posted since back in April of 2024. Hannah Berger was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Gardner wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Northeast Bradford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cowanesque Valley only managed six hits.

Coincidentally, Northeast Bradford and Cowanesque Valley will both be playing Williamson the next time they take the field. Northeast Bradford will head out to face Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Cowanesque Valley will host them at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
