Football Game Preview: Central Catholic Rams vs. Lakeridge Pacers

The Central Catholic Rams will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Lakeridge Pacers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Central Catholic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Jesuit, who was ranked ninth at the time (Central Catholic was ranked third). The Rams took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over the Crusaders. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Lakeridge got the win against Sandy on Friday by a conclusive 58-36.

Central Catholic better keep an eye on Drew Weiler. He was instrumental in Lakeridge's win, throwing for 267 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 58 yards. Easton Lawson was Weiler's top target, picking up zero receiving yards.

Lakeridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lawson and Maxx Vangelisti.

Central Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lakeridge, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
