Pendleton County and Elkins are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Wildcat will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elkins took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Pendleton County, who comes in off a win.

Elkins will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Pendleton County extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. Everything went the Wildcat's way against Tygarts Valley as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pendleton County took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-11, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Elkins came up short against University on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20.

Pendleton County's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Elkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-17-1.

Pendleton County came out on top in a nail-biter against Elkins in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcat since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
