Softball Recap: Bear Lake Drops Season-High Score on Pentwater

Bear Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 16-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pentwater Falcons. On the bright side, the 12- run effort marked the Lakers' highest-scoring match to date.

Peyton Buckner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those triples marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Buckner, who earned one RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.

Bear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Pentwater, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Pentwater has already played their next contest (against Shelby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bear Lake will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' game: after the Falcons face off against the Tigers, they'll take on Bear Lake again at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
