Baseball Game Preview: Valley Indians vs. Southern Tornadoes

The Valley Indians will head out to square off against the Southern Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Southern will be coming in after a defeat.

Valley can't be too worried about heading out to take on Southern: they just beat Clay at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Indians never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Thursday. The match marked the Indians' most dominant victory of the season.

Eastern hit Southern with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tornadoes lost 10-0 to the Eagles. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
