Baseball Recap: Mt. Rainier Rams vs. Tahoma Bears

Mt. Rainier lost a close one when they played last Tuesday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 14-1 loss to the Tahoma Bears might stick with them for a while. Mt. Rainier's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Rylan Keane made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

On Tahoma's side, Neal Burtis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Burtis was also big at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Nate Kimmel was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Beckett Turnbow was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
