Recap: Royal Falcons vs. Sweeny Bulldogs
Even though The Sweeny Bulldogs scored an imposing 31 points on Friday, the Royal Falcons still came out on top. Royal managed a 36-31 win over Sweeny. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Royal.
Leading Royal to victory were Zakai Anderson and Ashton Robinson. Anderson gained 251 total yards and a touchdown, while Robinson rushed for 104 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Noah Lasker also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
Loss or not, Sweeny got some senior leadership from Ace Seibert who threw for 350 yards and three touchdowns and Warrick Hernandez who picked up 164 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hernandez's longest reception was for an incredible 76 yards.
Royal is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Sweeny, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.
Royal will head out on the road to face off against La Marque at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sweeny, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sealy at 7:00 p.m. Sealy is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
