Soccer Recap: Machias Takes a Loss

Machias came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to the Narraguagus Knights. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Machias it sure didn't stay that way.

Machias' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Narraguagus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Machias wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Penobscot Valley on the 4th. As for Narraguagus, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Jonesport-Beals on the 6th.
