Sterlington beats North Webster for their seventh straight win

Recap: Sterlington Panthers vs. North Webster Knights

The Sterlington Panthers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over North Webster at home. The result was nothing new for Sterlington, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Dylan Downs was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 29 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 94 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.

Sterlington's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.2 points per game. As for North Webster, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Sterlington will head out on the road to face off against Amite at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Webster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bastrop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bastrop is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
