Soccer Game Preview: Spring Creek vs. Princeton

The Spring Creek Gators will face off against the Princeton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Creek's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Things were looking good for Spring Creek after they put the first goals on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Eastern Wayne by a score of 3-2. Spring Creek have struggled against Eastern Wayne recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Emily Reyes and Elisa Mendoza scored both of Spring Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Princeton made easy work of Goldsboro on Tuesday and carried off a 5-1 victory. Princeton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Princeton and bumps their season record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two games. As for Spring Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-4.
