Mare Island Tech Academy came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Elite, but AJ Hardaway wouldn't allow it. The Eagles put the hurt on the Griffins with a sharp 63-41 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Hardaway, who went 10-for-17 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 47.1% shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Omar Kirby, who posted nine points and seven boards. He has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 57% every time he's hit the court this season.

The victory got Elite back to even at 2-2. As for Mare Island Tech Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Elite will take on McClymonds at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mare Island Tech Academy, they will welcome Envision Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mare Island Tech Academy will be up against Envision Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 65 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
