Softball Recap: Taylor Takes a Loss

Taylor lost to Alexandria-Monroe back in May of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Titans lost 21-5 to the Tigers.

Taylor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Calvert, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Ryleigh Pennington also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Looking ahead, Taylor will head out on the road to square off against Delphi Community at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Oracles have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they have already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Eastbrook on the 12th.
