After having lost a blowout in their previous game against York, Leyden was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Proviso East Pirates 40-0. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

Matthew Aguirre threw for 46 yards and one TD. On the ground, Alen Buljina rushed for 118 yards.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Proviso East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
