Softball Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to the Kennedy Fighting Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vaqueros of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Harper Vandermolen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kennedy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Irvine will head out on the road to take on Fountain Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy, they will take on Cypress in a tournament on Saturday.
