Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dedham). They came out on top against the Holliston Panthers by a score of 9-6 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Marauders have won by exactly three runs.
Mary Stronach made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Elena Goldsbury was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Liana Florio was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Dedham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Dedham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-2-1 record this season. As for Holliston, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
