Marine City won the last time they faced South Lake and things went their way on Friday too. The Mariners claimed a resounding 56-18 victory over the Cavaliers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mariners' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 403rd).

The win was the fourth in a row for Marine City, bringing their record up to 4-1. As for South Lake, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
