Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

If Rock Hill was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Princeton on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Hawks came up short against the Plano West Wolves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Blue Hawks have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-16.

Halen Sieks paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up four kills. Sieks got some help from Tiyana Bhatte and her six assists. Bhatte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Plano West, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rock Hill will challenge rival Prosper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Plano West is set to face off against their familiar foe Plano at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
