Basketball Game Preview: Gadsden Panthers vs. Organ Mountain Knights

Gadsden is 0-10 against Organ Mountain since February of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Gadsden Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Organ Mountain Knights at 7:00 p.m. Gadsden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Gadsden turned things around against Alamogordo on Monday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 48-47 victory over the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Organ Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 55-31 to Mayfield. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Trojans are ranked fifth).

Organ Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Gadsden, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-11.
