Basketball Recap: Edison Chargers vs. Huron Tigers
Edison lost against Huron back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Edison Chargers lost to the Huron Tigers on the road by a 67-49 margin. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Tigers are ranked 301st).
Despite the loss, Edison still got an impressive performance from Cole Leimeister, who went 7 of 17 en route to 22 points and six rebounds. Leimeister continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Davin Wendt was another key player, putting up six points.
Edison's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Huron, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Edison has already played their next contest, a 68-60 win against Woodmore on the 1st. As for Huron, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-39 defeat against Ottawa Hills on the 1st.
