Basketball Recap: Amite County Comes Up Short

If Amite County was feeling good fresh off their 56-26 takedown of Wilkinson County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Amite County Trojans took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bogue Chitto Bobcats on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-26 on January 10th.

Amite County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Bogue Chitto, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9.

Amite County will square off against West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bogue Chitto has already played their next matchup (against Loyd Star), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
