Baseball Recap: Early Has No Trouble Against Spokane

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Early ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They put the hurt on the Spokane Owls with a sharp 14-8 win. The Panthers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.

Lucas Cutler and Conor Stockton did most of the damage at the plate: Cutler scored three runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances, while Stockton scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Those three runs gave Cutler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Francka, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

The victory got Early back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Early Panthers take on Billings Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spokane, they are taking a road trip to challenge Miller at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
