A Season-Best Effort from Konley Cova Leads Wheatland over Mira Loma

Wheatland was led to victory by Konley Cova, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cova's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up three sacks and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The victory for Wheatland keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Cova and Wheatland will head out on the road to take on Marysville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Ogles Came Up Big in Oakmont's 28-7 Win

Beau Ogles was a major factor in Oakmont's victory over Lincoln on Friday. Ogles turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Oakmont pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Ogles and Oakmont are taking a road trip to take on Mira Loma at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
