Basketball Recap: Rich Township Piles Up the Points Against Thornwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rich Township). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Thornwood Thunderbirds 59-25. The Raptors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Sherrie Emmons continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Ziko Okolo, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Rich Township is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Thornwood, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
