Baseball Recap: Montour Comes Up Short

Montour was the 16-7 winner over Canon-McMillan when they last played one another back in April of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Montour fell just short of Canon-McMillan by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montour saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Butts, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Montour's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Canon-McMillan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Montour and Canon-McMillan will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Montour is set to take on their familiar foe Connellsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Canon-McMillan will face off against rival Woodland Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
