Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Miller School of Albemarle walked away with it. They strolled past the North Cross Raiders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 75-56. The victory was familiar territory for the Mavericks, who have now won eight games in a row.

Jaylen Dyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10-for-16 en route to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Crotty, who posted 14 points and seven boards.

Miller School of Albemarle pushed their record up to 17-10 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.9 points. As for North Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Miller School of Albemarle won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
