Softball Recap: Maple Mountain Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maple Mountain can now relate to. They lost 13-3 to the Box Elder Bees on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 7th.

Maple Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McClain Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Maple Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Box Elder, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.

Coming up, Maple Mountain will square off against Hunter at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 12.1 runs per game this season. As for Box Elder, they will face off against Spanish Fork at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bees will need to watch out since the Dons have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
