Basketball Recap: Lompoc Takes a Loss

Lompoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Torres Toros. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Toros apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Lompoc's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Torres, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Lompoc and Santa Maria will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Torres, they and Morro Bay will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Toros will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 75.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
