Basketball Recap: Landmark Christian Victorious

Wesleyan came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Landmark Christian, but Blake Pollock wouldn't allow it. The Landmark Christian War Eagles enjoyed a cozy 60-43 win over the Wesleyan Wolves on Friday thanks in part to Pollock, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Landmark Christian's points.

Riley Saunders was another key player, putting up 17 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Morehouse, who posted 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most steals Morehouse has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ralph Sanders, who put up nine points.

Landmark Christian's record is now 10-6. As for Wesleyan, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Landmark Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-60 victory against King's Ridge Christian on the 1st. As for Wesleyan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-59 defeat against Mount Paran Christian on the 1st.
