Volleyball Recap: Smithtown East Extends Winning Streak to Three

Smithtown East entered their tilt with Deer Park on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Smithtown East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 27-25.

Sadie LaPresti was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 17 assists and three aces.

LaPresti wasn't the only good servers: Smithtown East was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Smithtown East's record now sits at 22-4-5. As for Deer Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Smithtown East will face off against Bellport at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deer Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
