Recap: Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties vs. Burrillville Broncos
The Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burrillville on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mount St. Charles Academy in their matchups with Burrillville: they've now lost three in a row.
Burrillville can attribute much of their success to Nolan Serafin, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Furtado, who scored 14 points.
Mount St. Charles Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Burrillville, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Mount St. Charles Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Achievement First Providence at 6:30 p.m. As for Burrillville, they will head out on the road to face off against North Smithfield at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
