Calallen came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Zapata Hawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Calallen was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-15, 25-11.

Taylor Paredez paced Calallen's offense, picking up 17 kills. Paredez got some help from Grace Martinez and her 37 assists. Martinez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Calallen's victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Zapata, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Calallen is set to take on their familiar foe King at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Zapata will square off against rival Harmony School of Excellence at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
